Carlos Silva – Employed at Halliburton Reservoir Evaluation Services, Houston TX as a Sr. Principal Log Analyst. He has specialized in Borehole Electrical and Acoustic Imaging interpretation since 1990. He has been involved in both, open hole and cased hole interpretation and has conducted several training courses for various oil industry audiences. He has over 30 years experience in the Wireline industry starting as a Field Engineer for Schlumberger in 1975 and then as a sales engineer for Gearhart Industries in 1983, until the merger with Halliburton in 1986. Later working as a log analyst performing support for S. Texas, Gulf of Mexico and general global support. Member AAPG, SPWLA, HGS.
Grant Sha – Employed at Halliburton Reservoir Evaluation Services, Denver CO, as a Senior Log Analyst since November 2006, specializing in borehole image interpretation with integration of acoustic and NMR logs to evaluate fractured reservoirs, determine in situ stress orientations, and general geologic evaluation in the Rocky Mountains. He received a B.S. in Geology from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington in May 2001 and a M.S. in Geology from Washington State University in May 2004. He was employed by Calgary-based Pason Systems Corp. as a wellsite geologist/mudlogger from December 2004 to November 2006, when he started work at Halliburton.
Paul Elliot – Employed at Halliburton Reservoir Evaluation Services, Houston TX as a Global Imaging Product champion. Geoscientist with 30 years oil industry experience including working as a professional exploration and exploitation geologist, as well as a professional log analyst, specializing in image interpretation. Development of significant expertise over the last nine years with Halliburton in Open Hole log analysis with special applications focused on geology and wellbore Imaging. Additional expertise in planning logging suite packages that enhance the type of log data needed for various client geoscience teams on both single well applications and multi-well needs. Graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. Board Certified by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists and memberships in AAPG, SPWLA, SPE and HGS.
