This is a hands-on seminar. Bring your laptop with EXCEL spreadsheet to do all sorts of financial analysis based on various OilFinancier scenarios. You learn by doing in Basic Petroleum Economics. Facilitator is Dave Volek, inventor of the OilFinancier simulation. See

Dave is a petroleum engineering graduate from the University of Alberta. After graduation, he worked for the drill-stem testing division of Schlumberger, which then led to starting his own closed chamber testing company with onsite DST fluid analysis. Dave worked for several engineering and petroleum software companies which led to his invention of the OilFinancier simulation.

Currently Dave works as a math and science teacher at the Brooks Campus while trying to get his inventions off the ground.
