The CSEG Outreach Committee invites teams of two students from any university or college to enter the 2010 Challenge Bowl to be held on Tuesday May 11th @ 5:00pm in the Boyce Theatre, during the GeoCanada2010 Convention. The Challenge Bowl is a chance for post-secondary students to display their geophysical and geological knowledge.
What is the Challenge Bowl? It is essentially geo-science jeopardy. Eight teams compete in the final against students from other universities or colleges. The format consists of single and multiple choice questions from a range of geophysical and geological topics. The prize for the winning team will be an expense-paid trip to the SEG Annual Meeting in Denver Colorado (October 17-21, 2010), where they will compete in the SEG Challenge Bowl and have the chance to win valuable cash prizes.
