University Outreach at GeoCanada 2010
The CSPG and CSEG Outreach Committees were created in 2002 to augment links between the CSPG/CSEG and Canadian university earth science departments. We aim to help attract university geoscience students to the petroleum industry or related government and academic positions.
During its short life, Outreach has had considerable success in organizing lecture tours across Canada, starting a student chapters program, donating core to various universities, and representing the CSPG/CSEG at all student conferences.
A multitude of awards and scholarships are offered through the CSPG/CSEG Outreach programs, visit the websites for more details.
We hope to see earth science students from across Canada at GeoCanada 2010. In addition to a multitude of awards and scholarships, there are a number of travel bursaries available for students in order to make the trip to Calgary a lot easier. For more information about travel bursaries click here.

University Outreach Booth at GeoCanada 2010
There will be a student lounge area designed for students to meet and have a place to call their own throughout the conference. This is a great place to meet other students and network with industry contacts.
In the student area you will find information on volunteering, networking opportunities, draw prizes, student business cards, a downtown industry field trip, student pub night, and many other opportunities for students to get the most out of the conference.
